Dota Reconnection Tool is Almost Done!
Remember the Varlock Dota reconnection project that IceFrog told us before? The project seems work smoothly and might as well released on the near future. IceFrog already doing some test with the Dota reconnection tool and the dropped player can reconnect to the game a few moment later. Sweet! Here is what IceFrog said about this project:
The first version of Varlock's reconnection tool is almost ready for release. We've been testing it in real DotA games for the past few weeks and it has worked very well. We've had many players disconnect only to reconnect moments later, saving otherwise lost games.
The code for this tool (both client and server) will be open source so that anyone can build upon it and integrate it into their platforms and communities.I really hope that this tool can be used for a lot of gaming platform, like Garena or Battle.net. Wish Dota 6.67 released along with this awesome tool :)

ReplyDeletecan the reconnection tool be used on LAN games too?
ReplyDeleteThats nice....but it will be better to implement some tool like ranking system (similiar as on dota-league.com), so we can all have statistics about win/loose, leavers etc.
ReplyDeleteDrop in good games are really rare...but still this tool can be usefull sometimes.
