Warcraft Patch 1.23 Released! - Adios Dota Maphack!

Warcraft Patch 1.23Warcraft III 1.23 Patch now is in Beta stage released and available on Westfall and other server. Ok, so what? What's the benefits of this patch for us Dota Player? Well, after i read the changelogs, i cannot helped to say that this Warcraft 1.23 patch is created solely to support Dota-Allstars. I think Blizzard is really love Dota-Allstars. Curious? But before i go through, it'd better if you read the official statement from Battle.net first:

You may notice that the Westfall realm is available on your Warcraft III Battle.net list. The Westfall server has the beta Warcraft III 1.23 patch that can be applied by connecting to Westfall. Please keep in mind that Technical Support does not support the beta client. For patch and game discussion, please use the Warcraft 3 forum - http://forums.battle.net/board.html?forumId=12012&sid=3000

To revert your game back to 1.22, just select one of the main realms.
If you cannot connect to Westfall, it's probably down or not ready.

FEATURES

- Battle.net now uses a new banner ad system.

FIXES

- Fixed an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map.
- Fixed an issue where some patches could not apply on Intel Macs.


Ok, now read this part once more, Fixed an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map. This means, if there's someone play using hacked map (where the fog is turned off), it will be seen and cannot play with the original map. Neat! But sadly, this will also means we cannot use multiple language map in one game. We must use exactly the same map. But i prefer no maphack than multiple language map ^_^
(Edit: Someone says that the multiple language still work, must confirm this again)

Can't wait until This patch is officially released ;)

Update:
How to upgrade the patch? There's several way to upgrade into Warcraft 1.23 Patch..
1. Connect to BattleNet server and it will update automatically
2. Using the downloadable stand alone patch, check this post to Update Warcraft 1.23 Patch Offline

    I think this fix:
    - Fixed an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map.

    Doesn't mean that we can't maphack, we still can because maphack is a third party program.

    I think that fix is to fix the COLLIDING MAP ISSUE. As far as i know, they are collided dota maps out there that contains hack. I heard Icefrog wrote a letter to blizzard about this =D

    Unfortunately, the AI maps are seen as a mod of the original map, so they don't appear in the list of maps any more!
    We can't use AI maps! :(

    where the fuck did you get maphack lolz? my maphack when i turn on with new patch crashes with fatal error...guess its the end of an era...tell me where u get ur maphack...

    o.O i got it from TyranO. Ur maphack must be made for 1.22 thats why it crashes, i tink every wc3 update a new maphack must be used.

    WE CAN'T PLAY AI MAPS ANYMORE! HELP US!! There was one AI map (6.59c) i was able to play, but I was deleting useless maps and I had 2 versions of it. One appeared and one didn't. I accidentally deleted the one that appeared and now I dont' know where to get it! I tried mediafire, rapidshare, warcraft III map downloads from this site. Help us D:

    Another way to play ai maps , it's tat u've to remove or take the genuine dota map out of ur wc3/map folder ... Leave only the ai map inside , just one copy of it and wc3 will read the file as ai map ..

    After patching, i cant use ai maps like 6.59 ai+. i checked the map folder and i see it in the folder, but it doesnt appear when i chose "create game" option. Anyone can help me out?

    Try shorterning the file name for ex: DotA_6.59_AIplus_Rev1.w3x to DotA_6.59_AiPlus

    The new 1.23 Patch sucks!!!!
    It doesnt let you play certain kind of maps.

    I recommend who play Dota AI not to upgrade to 1.23.

    Or you wont play it at all.

    I hope they fix this problem soon.

    hey, people, don´t get hurry!
    to play AI maps, just change the location of the AI map to the warcraft3/maps folder (E.g. pick the AI map from the warcraft3/maps/Downloads and put it on the warcraft3/maps folder, among with the warcraft 3 RoC maps, and it will function)


    Dont blame at my poor english xD,and about this little "cheat" this helped me, and I hope that this help you too.
